The days between you and everything that matters.

Momentline is a day counter built as one continuous line, with the present moment sitting in the middle of it. What already happened runs one way, what is still coming runs the other. Add anything with a date and it takes its place.

iPhone, iOS 26 and later. Native SwiftUI. No account, no server, no tracking.

The idea

Most day counters give you a list. This one gives you a line.

The line is not linear. Next week gets room to breathe, one day at a time. Twenty years ago is compressed, because that is how memory works. There are no empty stretches to scroll through, only the moments themselves, getting denser as they approach today.

Scrolling back through your own life is the point of the app, not a side effect. You find the shape of a decade in about four seconds.

It is closer to a telescope pointed at your own calendar than to anything on a habit-tracking shelf.

What it does

One continuous timeline

Past and future on the same line, with now in the middle. No separate tabs for countdowns and memories, because they are the same thing measured in opposite directions.

A scale that compresses

Next week gets room to breathe, one day at a time. Twenty years ago is compressed, because that is how memory works. There are no empty stretches to scroll through.

It reads what you type

Type "first day at the new job" and a date. The app suggests a symbol, a colour and a tag from the words themselves. Adding a moment is one line of text and a date.

Seven themes, seven canvases

A starfield, an aurora, ruled paper, a terminal. Each theme brings its own ground, texture, typography and app icon. They are not colour swaps.

Moments you never have to enter

The Celestial Pack fills the line with what is already going to happen: every full and new moon, the solstices and equinoxes, the nine major meteor showers, eclipses and conjunctions, and the round numbers of your own life. All calculated on the device.

Shareable cards

Any moment exports as an image, rendered offline and saved straight to your photos.

The Celestial Pack

A line that fills itself in.

Every full and new moon. The four solstices and equinoxes. The nine major meteor showers, eclipses, and the nights two planets appear to touch. Plus the round numbers of your own life: your ten-thousandth day, your billionth second.

All of it is calculated on the device from published algorithms and public-domain data. Nothing is fetched, and the app never asks where you are: events that are only visible from certain parts of the world carry a written note instead.

  • Moon phases, every one of them
  • Solstices and equinoxes
  • Nine major meteor showers
  • Eclipses and planetary conjunctions
  • Your own day-count milestones

Private by construction, not by promise.

There is no account, no sign-in and no Momentline server. Your moments are a file on your phone. We cannot read what you put in the app because it never reaches us, and there is no analytics SDK, no crash telemetry and no advertising identifier in the build. The app requests no location permission of any kind.

Questions

What does Momentline actually count?

Days. For anything in the past it shows how long since; for anything ahead, how long until. Both sit on the same line, so a birthday nine years gone and a flight in three weeks are read the same way.

Is it free?

The app is free, and the free version is a complete day counter: unlimited moments, the timeline, the free theme and shareable cards. Momentline Pro is a single one-time purchase of $4.99 that unlocks the six premium themes and the Celestial Pack.

Is Momentline Pro a subscription?

No. It is a one-time, non-consumable purchase: there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. It is tied to the Apple ID that bought it and restores on any device signed in to that Apple ID.

What happens when new content packs are added?

They are included. Every content pack added to Momentline in the future is free for existing Pro owners, and that promise is written into the Terms of Use, not just the marketing.

Does it need an account?

No. There is no account, no sign-in and no Momentline server. Your moments are a file on your phone, and deleting the app deletes them.

What data does it collect?

None. No analytics, no crash telemetry, no advertising identifiers, no location permission of any kind. Purchases are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which sees an anonymous identifier and the receipt, never anything you type into the app.

How accurate are the astronomical moments?

They are calculated on your device from published algorithms and public-domain data, including NASA’s eclipse canon, and are accurate to within minutes. They are there for interest, not for navigation or scientific work. Events that depend on where you are carry a written visibility note, because the app does not know your location.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Momentline is an iPhone app for now, built natively in SwiftUI for iOS 26.
